Nite of Spring, created in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, was an ode to community reawakening - a symbol of hope. With theaters shuttered, the Musicians and Dancers of New York City Ballet found ways to create independent projects to be able to bring dance and art around New York City in unconventional locations and venues which were safe for audiences and artists to gather. Nite of Spring was made as a recognition of the dark times behind, with a renewed sense of gratitude and lightness for the future of art and its impact in difficult times.
